Description
This is one of those shots that stay on my records for months before they're released. I wanted a shot of Venice with the gondola symbol. When I thought of a sunset at the Ponte delle Guglie I didn't know I would find gondolas. But when I saw them I thought it was a clear sign. As always, I took a series of shots but once back home I found nothing that expressed my idea of a gondola and a bridge. Only after a few months and after several post-production attempts did I arrive at this final shot. The final image with the gondolas and the bridge framing the sunset over the buildings at the back was finally worthy of this narrative. And the atmosphere is now the same as I felt that day.
