Pienza is an Italian town in the province of Siena in Tuscany.
Located in Val d'Orcia, it has a historic center which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. It is certainly a little gem of Italy.
This angle in particular struck me because it is extraordinarily characteristic. I had to wait a while for the tourists to leave fearing that something of this wonderful scene would be touched: everything from the bicycle, to the fruit, to the flowers seemed so perfect ...
From a technical point of view I took two horizontal shots with my usual Tilt Shift lens which I then blended in post, obtaining the almost square shape that I find is perfectly suited to this type of context
